Genoa, 31 March 2025-Six new E-RTG (Electric Rubber Tyred Gantry) yard cranes, 100% electric, including two hybrif RTGs, arrived yesterday afternoon a tour PSA Genova Pra’ Terminal. This delivery complates the renewal of the yard equipment fleet, increasing it from 31 to 33 units and enhancing operational capacity, service continuity, and overall performance standrards.

With this second batch of E-RTG cranes, the terminal continues its evironmental sustainability journey, ensuring zero local emissions and a significant reduction in energy consumption compared to diesel-powered equipment. PSA Italy launched a multi-year equipment modernization plan back in 2018, aimed at marking operations across its three terminals-PSA Genova Pra', PSA Venice-Vecon and PSA SECH-more sustainable, efficient and competitive. E-RTG cranes rapresent a key element of the Group's infrastructure and technological investment plan. 

Starting tomorrow, the cranes will be progressively unloaded and commissioned, with full operations expected within the next three months. With this new technological upgrade, PSA Italy reaffirms its commitment to a greener, more innovative, and competitive port future across its entire terminal network in Italy.
