Genoa, 25 September 2025 - A series of five intensive training days on safety and life-saving techniques has successfully concluded, involving nearly 300 employees, both administrative and operational, from the two Genoa-based terminals PSA Genova Pra' and PSA SECH.

The initiative, developed in valuable collaboration with the Italian Red Cross, saw expert trainers from the Genoa and Genoa Ponente Committees deliver essential practical lessons as part of the "Safety Cafe' - A Safe Coffe Break"project, created by the HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) departments of both container terminals and coordinated by Safety Officer & Safety Training Supervisor Andrea Stagnaro.

The training programme, held at PSA Genova Pra' on 23, 24 and 25 September and at PSA SECH on 30 September and 1 October, enabled participants to acquire vital skills. The techniques taught included the use of a defibrillator (BLSD), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway obstruction management and Basic Life Support (BLS). Sessions were conducted in small groups to ensure effective learning through the use of professional training manikins.

Federica Bonelli, President of the Genoa Committee of the Italian Red Cross, commented:

The project goes well beyond mandatory training requirements, which each year provide workplace safety training to more than 500 people. It further reinforces the commitment of PSA Italy Group, which operates three container terminals across Venice and Genoa, to promoting a comprehensive culture of safety in both personal and professional contexts.
