Genoa, 2 September 2025-PSA Italy continues to invest in the growth and development of its terminal in the port  of Genoa Pra' through 25 new hires dedicated to container handling operations at the PSA Genova Pra' Terminal. 

This strategic recruitment initiative represents a major investment in people, operational expertise, and long-term professional development. The expansion further strengthens the terminal's operational know-how while reaffirming the company's commitment to excellence, efficiency, and reliability in port and logistics services. 

The addition of new personnel is part of a broader long-term growth strategy designed to enhance the competitiveness of PSA Genova Pra' within the international logistics and global shipping industry. As global supply chains continue to evolve, the terminal is reinforcing its role as a critical gateway connecting Italy and Southern Europe with international manufacturing and distribution hubs. 

Within this framework, we are also reinforcing our strategic partnerships with the terminal's key customers in Pra', including the world's leading shipping lines. These partners connect the port of Genoa-and the markets of Italy and Southern Europe-to global production and distribution centers. One example is the AE11/SE2 service of the "Gemini" alliance between Maersk and Hapag Lloyd, which ensures the transport of goods between the Mediterranean-with calls in Italy, Spain, and Morocco-and key regions such as Central and Southern China, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, via major hubs like Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore. 

PSA Genova Pra' is indeed one of the most important logistics hubs for trade flows between the Mediterranean and the Far East, with as many as five weekly services to and from Far Eastern ports, operated by major international shipping lines using vessels with capacities ranging from 14,000 to 24,000 TEU-among the largest ships in the world. 

The strategic importance of the Mediterranean is further enhanced by regular connections with the United States, with three weekly maritime routes to and from PSA Italy's terminal, as well as services to fast-growing markets such as the Indian subcontinent (two weekly services). In addition, intra-Mediterranean services continue to play a key role in the country's logistics network. 

PSA Genova Pra' thus confirms its long-term vision, with continuous investments in people, infrastructure, and strategic relationships to confidently address global logistics challenges and ensure greater fluidity and productivity in port operations.
